COLLEGE BASKETBALL — February 21
VILLANOVA at PITTSBURGH
(Villanova -2.5) — [private] Listen – Pittsburgh may not be the top of the heap in the Big East, but the Panthers are still tough as nails at the Petersen Center, where they have won 15 out of 16 this season. We certainly respect Villanova’s plethora of guards, and Scottie Reynolds (18.8 ppg, 40% threes) is the best player on the court. But after losing four of five games, Pitt has recaptured some form, winning four in a row, shooting better than 50% in two of those games, and managing to do so, for example, playing at an accelerated pace against West Virginia and more of a slowdown mode versus Marquette.
THE PLAY: PITTSBURGH +2.5 and +120 (money line) ***
