COLLEGE BASKETBALL — March 6
WASHINGTON at OREGON STATE
(Washington -3.5) — [private] The Huskies had all they could handle in the previous meeting, held on New Year’s Eve in Seattle, as they shot just 42% and had to hold off a charging Beaver contingent. In that game, Washington got eight more free throw attempts than its opponents, and that was essentially the difference. It may be a different story in Corvallis, where teams play a lot slower than they intend. OSU (17-7 ATS) heaved a sigh of relief this week when coach Craig Robinson signed a two-year extension, rather than take a job with DePaul. The Beavers, champions of last year’s CBI, may still have that option at their disposal.
