COLLEGE BASKETBALL — February 27
NOTRE DAME at GEORGETOWN
(Georgetown -10.5) — There is no question that with Luke Harangody missing for the Irish, Georgetown has a size matchup it can exploit with Greg Monroe (16 points, 14 rebounds vs. Louisville) in the middle. But you have to admire Notre Dame’s grit without its star, as they have not rolled over at all, losing close ones to St. John’s and Louisville and beating Pitt at home the other night. This is a team that is loaded with accurate shooters and they can hot from long-range. Slowing the pace on the offensive end has also fit them nicely. Tim Abromaitis has stepped in and filled a vacuum, with 70 points in the last three games. Notre Dame should be able to hang.
