PRO BASKETBALL — February 28
WASHINGTON at NEW JERSEY
(Wizards -1, Total 193.5) — [private] The Wizards are admittedly smarting from the loss of Josh Howard, who had just come aboard from Dallas. The shortage in personnel may be catching up to them, judging from back-to-back home losses to the Knicks and Grizzlies. Still, there’s no denying that flushing out a lot of the losers, including the “Big Three,” brought some new life to the team and they’re playing with additional spirit. Andray Blatche is putting up All-Star numbers, with 25 points and 11 rebounds per game in his last six. This may be a good time for them too, because the Nets, at 6-52, are just getting over the shock of beating the Boston Celtics yesterday. Keep in mind that New Jersey is still 3-25 SU and 9-19 ATS at home.
