PRO BASKETBALL — February 21
OKLAHOMA CITY at MINNESOTA
(Thunder -5, Total 201.5) — [private] There is no denying the quality difference between these two teams. Oklahoma City has moved into fifth place in the hyper-competitive Western Conference, while the T-Wolves look like they are still quite a ways from turning the corner. But it isn’t as if Minnesota has rolled over and played dead in recent home losses to the Bulls and Bobcats. Charlotte beat them by only two points, and the Wolves missed a lot of easy shots in the latter stages to practically hand the game to Chicago. Oklahoma City has now won eight games in a row, and the Thunder is 19-8 ATS as the visitor, but they did fail to cover as a 5.5-point favorite last night, and this is a quick turnaround from last night’s track meet at the Garden.
