L.A. ANGELS (Saunders) at TAMPA BAY (Kazmir) (Line: Tampa Bay -135/+115, Total: 8.5) — Joe Saunders is one of two undefeated starters for the Angels (the other being Ervin Santana). And Los Angeles has won each of the seven starts Saunders has made. Scott Kazmir makes his second start for the Rays after coming off the DL; he stuck out five Boston batters in four innings last Sunday, but got touched up for four runs and six hits. We’d like to see him do a little better before supporting him, and especially as we have a chance to go with a guy who hasn’t tasted defeat, and do it as an underdog, when Saunders has some offense behind him (6th in the majors in homers).
